How to Prep the Night Before Your Senior Session — Do’s and Don’ts!
OH MY GOSH. Your senior session is TOMORROW?! Shut up!! I’m freaking out right there with you!!
Whether you booked the Fall + Spring Bundle or you’re doing your big Signature Session, the night before your shoot is super important. Trust me, girl — the way you prep the night before can totally set the tone for how your session goes!
So let’s break it down — here are your do’s and don’ts for the night before your shoot:
DO: Try on every single outfit
I’m not kidding. Lay ‘em all out. Try them on. Move around. Sit. Walk. Twirl in a mirror. Make sure you feel confident in everything. And double-check that there are no stains, weird wrinkles, or tags peeking out. This is NOT the time for surprises!
DON’T: Wait ‘til morning to pack your bag
Girl, don’t do it. You’ll be stressed, running late, and you’re gonna forget something. Get your bag packed tonight — outfits, shoes, accessories, touch-up makeup, hairbrush, water bottle, lip gloss, all the things. Bonus points if you pack a snack. Hangry is not the vibe.
DO: Get your nails and toes done
Your hands are gonna be in so many photos — touching your hat, holding your cap, playing with your hair — so clean nails or a fresh mani is a must. They don’t have to be fancy, just tidy!
DON’T: Try a new product or tan
This is NOT the night to test out a new foundation, face mask, or self-tanner. I repeat: step away from the tanner. We want your skin to look like YOU — not orange, not broken out, not burned. Keep it simple and gentle, boo.
DO: Steam or iron your clothes
Wrinkles show up so much more in photos than you think. Take a few minutes to steam everything and hang it up neatly. If your outfit is wrinkly, you’re not gonna feel good in it — and you deserve to feel AMAZING.
DON’T: Stay up super late
I know, I know. You’re excited. But girl, get your sleep!! Puffy eyes are not cute, and you want to show up looking fresh, glowy, and ready to SLAY. So turn on your fave playlist or show, relax, and get that beauty rest.
DO: Trust that I’ve got you
You don’t need to stress about posing or what to do with your hands or ANY of that. I’ve got you every step of the way. Your only job is to show up, feel cute, and have fun. We’re gonna make MAGIC, okay?
